ACCOUNTANT

Assistant Accountant

Main Responsibilities

• Managing and overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department
• Receive vendors documents, process, and record all financial transactions into the accounting system in SAP
• Ensure the monthly financial accounting closing of a group of companies, properly and timely
• Interact with financial auditors, tax consultants and advisors
• Participate in the preparation of the financial statements of the Business Unit, in compliance with the accounting standards and regulations, in order to ensure their accuracy and reliability and allow decision making
• Be permanently updated about all the accounting and tax issues that could impact the business
• Collaborate with corporative accounting and consolidation department, delivering relevant financial information to prepare the consolidated accounts
• Reviews and makes improvement actions on systems and procedures
• Planning, budgeting, and authorizing expenditures

Requirements

• Bachelor or/and Master’s in Finance or Accounting
• 5+ years of work experience in finance/ accounting department of a large company (experience in pharmaceutical industry is desirable)
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures (knowledge of SoftOne accounting program)
• Member of the Economic Chamber of Greece (A’ Class signatory right)
• International Operations experience, is desirable
• Excellent communication skills (verbally and in writing) in English
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Excellent People Management Skills
• Strong attention to detail and processes (internal and external)
• Ability to work under pressure in a demanding environment
